Malaria Prevention Medication
Price varies depending on product and quantity – Which malaria tablets you can use depends primarily on where you’re travelling to and during your travel consultation, your pharmacist will tell you which antimalarials are suitable.
Which tablets are best for you also depends on your medical history, the activities you have planned or sometimes your own personal preferences or circumstance.
Please note that the cost of treatment may vary, depending on the length of your trip and the medication you and our pharmacist agree is best for you – however the ones that we generally issue are Malarone (£3 per tablet) and Doxycycline (£0.65 a capsule). The cost of antimalarials for children may differ.
Malaria prevention tablets are not available on the NHS.
