Attention Polite Notice

Pembroke castle Pharmacy have discovered that 3 appointments for the Independent Prescriber have not been attended so far today.
We are trying to see every customer that requires this service so, if you are unable to attend please try to take the time to inform us so we can offer the appointment to someone else that has been turned away that day.

Thank you from all the team.

“Polite Notice”

“Traffic Delays”

Could everyone that has an appointment to see the Independent Prescriber in Mendus and Pembroke Castle Pharmacies, please allow yourself plenty of time to attend due to the traffic lights on the Mill Pond Bridge, Pembroke.

We are doing our upmost to see as many people as we can but unfortunately we don’t have any flexibility due to the fact that the appointments are booked back to back from opening to closing. This means we are physically unable to see anyone that is late.

Thank you for your patience and understanding.

At the end of this month, Argyle surgery and the local pharmacies including Mendus Pharmacy and Pembroke Castle Pharmacy will be going live with the Electronic Prescription Service (EPS). This will be a huge benefit to patients and healthcare providers as the prescribing and processing of prescriptions will become much more efficient and transparent.

Although it's not mandatory for patients to switch from paper prescriptions to EPS, it is our recommendation that you do so and there are so many positives.

We would also recommend trying the new NHS Wales App as this will tie in with EPS really well. This will be the quickest way of reordering repeat prescriptions, providing up to date information regarding the request's status amongst other features.

If you would like to sign up to EPS in readiness for it's rollout, please get in touch with one of our pharmacies and we can get this arranged. Alternatively, there will be registration forms available at Argyle surgery as well as the pharmacies.

Finally, with the introduction of EPS you will probably start receiving lots of adverts from online pharmacies based miles away asking for you to switch to their service. In order for your local pharmacies to stay viable and continue offering the services that we do such as the Independent Prescribing Service and Common Ailments Service, we need you to use us for your repeat prescriptions too. So please stick with your local pharmacy!

If you have any questions or need any assistance, please get in touch.

Thanks,

Nathan, Mari and the team

I have been using this app for a while now for repeat prescriptions and I understand the electronic request has then been GP approved then sent to Mendus. Its already a simple way to reorder repeat monthly prescriptions. I see there is more personal info on there now but will the ordering change for current users making it more efficient, or will it just be the same please?

Absolutely wonderful news! We are SO SO lucky to have Mendus Pharmacy and Pembroke Castle Pharmacy in our town. Nathan, Mari and his team are at all times highly professional and we as a family feel truly blessed to have them!! THANK YOU

Thank you for the info but I am now living in Warrington and no longer with Argyll Street Practice. I use the service here with prescriptions and I would wholeheartily recommend it.
