Chickenpox Vaccination
The chickenpox vaccine is suitable for patients from 9 months of age up to the age of 65. It is only recommended if you have not had chickenpox.
This vaccine is not suitable for pregnant women or women who are trying for a baby. The chickenpox vaccination should be administered with at least a 4-week gap from some other vaccinations. If you have had another vaccination recently, contact our pharmacist and we can advise.
The price you will be quoted is for your consultation and one dose of vaccine – for full protection you will need two doses, four to eight weeks apart (your pharmacist will advise when the second dose is due).
This vaccine is not generally available on the NHS.
